New year resolutions

Happy New Year!!!

Not sure about you but I'm rubbish at these myself, last years resolutions were the usual, loose weight, do more things, start a blog, learn to knit socks, I did none of these things. Not one, this year I resolve to be better!! Just better!! 

So here goes, I thought I would share a little bit about my mood blanket from last year, if you follow me on instagram then you will have seen it, and seen that my little girls has stolen the blanket I've been making all year and now I'm back to square one 😂 

I loved this project, I was a bit daunted at the start, I'll never keep up with a square a day, I'll forget, I'll get bored etc, but I did it!! Yes I got way behind at some points, but it was a lovely routine and then at Christmas as I approached the border I was really proud of myself

Now as I mentioned my littlest has stolen it but that's ok, her little face when it was finished, complete with Pom poms was more than I could have asked for and she has been walking about the house wearing it as a cape ever since, so I know she will get a lot of joy out of it as well as all the practical sides of blankets. 

As I managed last years blanket so well I've planed another :) let's hope I get to keep this one and that the eldest doesn't take a shine to it in 350 days 😂😂

The facts

• I made 16 squares a row for 22 rows which was 352 squares
• I used stylecraft special DK (it's my favourite)
• I made a 3 round border, and edged each side with 3 pom-poms for fun :) 
• I joined as I went or else it would never have been finished, just ask my willow square blanket 😂

So that's it, I'm hoping to keep up with some blogging this year, I would love to get into it as I enjoy so many others, which I'll have to share. I'm off to plan some more projects for 2017 although I should potentially finish 2016s and I've got lots of scraps from this blanket that may have to be put to some use :)
